Job Description

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team. This role provides strategic leadership in HR operations, focusing on process management, systems oversight, compliance, and employee lifecycle support within a complex environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead HR operations and ensure consistent execution of core HR processes across the organization.
  • Evaluate existing HR practices and implement improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
  • Provide oversight of HR systems and employee data, maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate controls.
  • Partner with internal teams and external providers on HR technology enhancements, integrations, and system improvements.
  • Develop reporting and workforce metrics to help leadership identify trends and make informed business decisions.
  • Maintain effective HR compliance practices in accordance with applicable employment regulations and internal policies.
  • Coordinate required HR reporting, audits, recordkeeping, and documentation practices.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes from pre-employment and onboarding through employee changes and separation.
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to provide a consistent experience for employees and candidates.
  • Provide leadership and oversight related to payroll and benefits administration, including resolution of escalated issues.
  • Support retirement plan administration and other employee benefit programs as needed.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy of employee information across HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
  • Support the development, interpretation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage key HR vendor relationships and evaluate service quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and other business functions on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the HR Operations team while establishing clear expectations and performance measures.
  • Support organizational initiatives including system implementations, compensation programs, process changes, and other HR projects.
  • Provide HR leadership with operational insights and recommendations that support broader business objectives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant exposure to HR operations and/or employee relations.
  • Experience supporting a complex organization with employees across multiple locations and jurisdictions.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, production, or another operationally complex environment strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting both union and non-union employee populations is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior and executive leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms, HR technology, reporting, and employee data management.
  • Experience leading significant HR projects and programs from planning through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of employment regulations, HR compliance, and employee relations practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders throughout an organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop an HR team.
  • Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Professional HR certification, such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP, is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
