Our client, a growing organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a VMI Support Specialist to join their team. This role involves managing inventory, supporting customer relationships, coordinating material delivery, and providing onsite support at multiple customer locations. Responsibilities:

• Manage the coordination of materials, including pick-up, delivery, and inventory replenishment for customer sites.
• Pack, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain customer stock levels, ensuring min-max levels are met and the inventory is organized and clean.
• Scan and replenish VMI and turnaround inventory, and maintain barcode labels and tags.
• Ensure DISA status for drug and alcohol testing remains active.
• Attend mandatory customer site trainings and support site drive-in status.
• Support order entry activities within the company's business system.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely product delivery.
• Troubleshoot onsite support issues related to vending machine inventory solutions.
• Maintain delivery trucks, including oil changes and basic upkeep.
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, sales, and finance teams to optimize operations.
• Assist as a backup for cross-warehouse functions.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and identify opportunities for increased product placement and sales.
• Conduct physical material handling in a warehouse environment, including lifting heavy items and working in various weather conditions.
• Operate scanners and inventory management systems as needed.
• Effectively communicate with team members and clients, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• TWIC card, valid driver's license and ability to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.
• Reliable and organized with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs., and work in warehouse conditions including heat and cold.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Physical capacity to unload and handle heavy materials.
• Inventory management experience preferred.
• Warehouse/distribution center experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Experience with MRP systems or barcode scanning software is a plus.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
