Job Description

A manufacturing company serving the oil & gas industry is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join the team. This role supports operational excellence by conducting inspections, documenting findings, and contributing to a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a collaborative team environment. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all materials, components, and finished products meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Location: Rosenberg, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM


Responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials by verifying specifications and conducting visual and dimensional checks.
  • Approve in-process and final products by confirming compliance with specifications through required inspection and testing.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and related documentation.
  • Determine appropriate inspection procedures based on part requirements and specifications.
  • Inspect critical dimensions, machined finishes, welds, and surface conditions to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Verify completion of all required quality checkpoints and ensure associated documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain inspection tools and equipment in proper working condition and calibrate as needed.
  • Communicate quality issues and findings to internal teams, customers, and third parties as applicable.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to problem-solving and process reviews within the quality function.

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
  • Ability to interpret Material Test Reports (MTRs) and verify compliance with specifications and purchase orders
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, thread gauges, and ID/OD (Inside Diameter / Outside Diameter) micrometers
  • Familiarity with various inspection methods and measuring techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
  • Competent in documenting inspection results clearly and accurately
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems
  • NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) experience is a plus
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a related field
  • Technical training or coursework in manufacturing, quality, or mechanical inspection is a plus
  • NDT certification is advantageous but not required
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and brings a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Works well under pressure and adapts to changing priorities or shift requirements
  • Committed to working safely and upholding environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Comfortable working as part of a small, focused team delivering high-quality work to tight client deadlines
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and communicates clearly with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Pays close attention to detail and applies a methodical, organized approach to inspection tasks
  • Takes responsibility for actions and follows through on quality documentation and commitments
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
