Job Description
A contract manufacturing machine shop serving the oil & gas industry is seeking a Shop Helper to join the team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity in a machine shop environment, and the company is willing to train. The Shop Helper is responsible for shop cleaning, housekeeping, packaging, and general support of daily shop operations.
Salary + Additional Benefits:
- $15-$17/hr (DOE)

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; overtime available as workload permits
Responsibilities:
- Clean the shop and perform general housekeeping.
- Clean shavings from machines and work areas.
- Apply coolant and oil to shop machinery.
- Help package parts and products.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Handle materials up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- Forklift experience
- Ability to handle up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in a machine shop environment
- Availability for overtime as needed
