Job Description

A fast-growing fitness equipment services company is seeking a Field Installation Supervisor to join the team. The ideal candidate is a working leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and drives a sense of urgency across installation teams. This position requires up to 90% travel. The Field Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution and completion of fitness equipment installation projects for commercial customer sites.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer installations and ensure compliance with company standards and SOPs.
  • Manage installation planning to ensure organization and efficiency by working with the Director of Operations and D&I Manager to ensure adequate team assignments.
  • Utilize the company's resource allocation board and Blue Folder to document weekly team assignments.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and drive a "sense of urgency" for installation teams to ensure client orders are completed on time and address any delays.
  • Supervise and work alongside installation crews on-site; direct daily activities and prioritize tasks.
  • Oversee the unpacking, organization, and inventory of materials at each job site.
  • Lay out equipment locations according to project plans and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform hands-on equipment assembly, installation, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to verify project progress, ensure installation quality, and confirm milestone and completion deadlines are met.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with clients upon project completion; manage punch-list resolution.
  • Train and mentor installation technicians; foster skill development and promote best practices for efficient and safe operations.
  • Assist with the punch-list process for all customers, including intake, reporting, and action items with vendors to minimize negative impact to the customer.
  • Liaise with the Executive team: VP of Sales and Business Development, Director of Operations, HR Manager, and Manager of Finance as needed to ensure cohesive and progressive work.
  • Assist with physical and digital inventories as needed.
  • Meet or exceed departmental and company goals and objectives.
  • Exemplifies the company's mission and vision statements, along with its core values.
  • Lead various projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of operational experience in at least one of the following types of organizations: fitness equipment installation company, third-party logistics, final mile, or fitness / health
  • 3-5 years of managing installation field teams with at least 8 to 12 individuals
  • Must be bi-lingual (English / Spanish)
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Suite
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve the root cause of a problem
  • Knowledge of Blue Folder system or similar work order scheduling system a plus
  • Up to 90% travel required
