Job Description

Our client, a growing organization in the corporate travel industry, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their team. This role involves managing and developing key client relationships, analyzing account performance, and identifying opportunities for growth. The position requires a candidate skilled in client retention, relationship management, and travel industry technology.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX 
Type of Position: Direct Hire 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with key corporate clients, serving as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor service levels, SLAs, and overall account performance, handling escalations and working with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Analyze client travel spend, patterns, and performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client review meetings and strategic business reviews to assess account profitability and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement account plans focused on client retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, revenue management, marketing, and business development teams.
  • Support client projects such as travel policy reviews, technology implementations, and process improvements.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of account management experience within the travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of corporate travel and customer experience principles.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and manage complex escalations.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with GDS platforms and travel-specific technology (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Concur).
  • Experience with travel management company (TMC) operations preferred.
  • CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially for engaging with senior-level clients.
