Job Description

A fast-paced, growing automotive organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support financial reporting, analysis, and month-end close activities across multiple dealership operations. This role will serve as a key partner to executive leadership by providing accurate financial data, reporting insights, and operational support to drive decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, schedules, logs, and supporting documentation for executive leadership
  • Partner with leadership to provide accurate financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support financial statement preparation and ensure timely submission of reporting packages and manufacturer financials.
  • Reconcile accounts and statements across multiple dealership locations.
  • Assist with general accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and consolidations.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and departmental data to identify trends and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, service, parts, and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Support leadership and field personnel with accounting questions and financial inquiries.
  • Participate in process improvements and special projects as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including general ledger activity, debits and credits, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-location environment preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring month-end deadlines.
  • Experience with dealership management systems, particularly Reynolds & Reynolds, is a plus.
  • Automotive or dealership accounting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
