Job Description

A stable bearing technology company is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow its business across the US market. This is a hands-on business development role focused on growing existing customer accounts, reactivating dormant customers, and developing new business within the power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, and wider industrial sectors. The Business Development Manager is responsible for spending significant time in front of customers, developing relationships with maintenance, reliability, engineering, and procurement teams, and converting opportunities into profitable orders.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

  • $100,000-$110,000
  • Quarterly Bonus

Location: Katy, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Grow business from our client's existing customer base by identifying additional repair and service opportunities.
  • Reactivate dormant customers through structured customer visits, calls, and follow-up.
  • Develop new customers across Houston, Texas, and the wider US market.
  • Generate sufficient order intake to support consistent utilization of the Houston workshop.
  • Develop opportunities for Babbitt bearing repair, rebabbitting, inspection, machining, and related rotating-equipment services.
  • Identify and secure new bearing manufacturing opportunities that can be manufactured through the group's manufacturing facility and supplied to US customers.
  • Develop relationships with end users, OEMs, service companies and other aftermarket customers.
  • Generate RFQs, coordinate quotations and actively follow opportunities through to order placement.
  • Maintain a clear sales pipeline, customer visit plan, opportunity forecast and next actions within the company CRM.
  • Work closely with Houston operations and the wider engineering group to provide customers with the most appropriate technical and commercial solution.
  • Maintain focus on profitable sales and margin rather than simply revenue generation.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industrial aftermarket business development or technical sales experience
  • Experience within bearings, rotating equipment, turbomachinery, pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, or related aftermarket services
  • Established relationships within the Texas industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or rotating-equipment market would be a significant advantage
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, customer specifications and technical repair/manufacturing requirements
  • Strong track record of developing existing accounts and winning new business
  • Willingness to spend significant time visiting customers rather than operating primarily from the office
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to negotiate and close profitable orders
  • Good CRM, forecasting and reporting discipline
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of sales targets

Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications. However, if you are invited to take the next step in the process, you will typically be contacted within one week of submitting your application.
