A global manufacturer specializing in pipeline isolation, hot tapping, and plugging solutions for the energy industry is seeking a General Foreman to join the team. This role leads and coordinates multiple manufacturing crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of fabrication, welding, and machining activities. The General Foreman oversees daily work planning, resource allocation, and workforce coordination while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and budget objectives are met. 

Salary: $98,800 - 110,000

Responsibilities: 

Crew Supervision & Leadership 

• Lead, train, mentor, and support skilled and semi-skilled trades personnel. 

• Assign work based on project requirements, skill levels, and production priorities. 

• Provide day-to-day direction and oversight to ensure consistent performance and accountability. 

Production Planning & Execution 

• Plan, coordinate, and execute daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules. 

• Translate production plans into clear, actionable work assignments. 

• Adjust workflows and priorities based on resource availability, schedule changes, or operational challenges. 

Safety & Quality Oversight 

• Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. 

• Ensure all work complies with quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements. 

• Address safety concerns and quality issues promptly and effectively. 

Resource & Cost Management 

• Ensure adequate staffing, tools, equipment, and materials are available to support production needs. 

• Monitor labor hours, material usage, and production efficiency to support budget control. 

Communication & Coordination 

• Act as a central point of communication between shop personnel, foremen, and management. 

• Coordinate closely with Production Managers, Lead, QC/QA, Engineering, and Operations teams. 

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement 

• Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues, workflow disruptions, and personnel challenges. 

• Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing practices, processes, and resource utilization. 

Documentation & Reporting 

• Maintain accurate records related to labor, materials, and production progress. 

• Provide timely updates and reports to management as required. 

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. 

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required 

• 5-10 years of experience in a lead, foreman, or supervisory role within manufacturing 

• 10-15 years working in a manufacturing environment 

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents 

• Strong leadership, motivation, and interpersonal skills 

• Strong oral and written communication skills to convey ideas and information effectively to diverse groups 

• Analytical skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions 

• Ability to develop long-range plans and establish systematic methods for achieving project goals 

• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, and machining 

• Ability to determine best manufacturing practices 

• Expertise in manufacturing procedures, and the proper use of equipment 

• The ability to multitask and assign duties in different areas in the shop
