Job Description

A well-established, innovative manufacturing company is seeking an Assembler to join the team. This stable organization offers ample on-the-job training to candidates with manufacturing experience. The Assembler is responsible for assembling valves and valve components using hand tools, electric and pneumatic tools, testing fixtures, and bench test equipment to meet required quantity and quality standards.

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm


Responsibilities:
  • Assemble valves and valve components according to established specifications, procedures, and production requirements.
  • Follow detailed written and visual assembly instructions and processes.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, including electric and pneumatic tools, to perform assembly operations.
  • Use testing fixtures and bench test equipment as required to test and verify completed assemblies.
  • Perform machine setup where applicable; run machines and processes.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and production requirements.
  • Package products as required for shipping.
  • Follow Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines, and regulations governing workplace safety.
  • Train other employees on job functions and safety requirements, as needed.
  • Follow all company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
  • Work independently and employ effective time management skills.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the team lead.
  • Work overtime as required.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous assembly experience preferred
  • Experience working with hand tools preferred; experience with electric and pneumatic tools a plus
  • Ability to follow both written and visual work instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new assembly processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to learn and follow established manufacturing, testing, and safety procedures
  • Previous experience with the company's specific products is not required; ample on-the-job training is provided
