Job Description

A fast-growing and stable manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Associate to join the team. This is a hands-on warehouse position that goes beyond basic forklift operation, requiring comfort operating a forklift as well as using a computer system to complete inventory transactions, print labels, and review receiving documentation. The Warehouse & Inventory Associate is responsible for executing warehouse operations including receiving, storage, internal material transfers, order preparation, labeling, and inventory control.

Location: Humble, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (Dupont Schedule) or 2nd Shift 6:00 PM-6:00 AM (Dupont Schedule)


Responsibilities:
  • Receive, verify, and register raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy in quantity, condition, and documentation.
  • Review receiving documents and match received quantities against purchase orders (POs).
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory information in the warehouse/inventory system.
  • Print and apply labels for incoming materials, inventory, and finished goods.
  • Store and organize materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining safe and accessible storage.
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare materials and finished goods for internal use or shipment.
  • Transfer materials between production and warehouse areas, ensuring proper handling and accurate inventory records.
  • Support production by delivering required raw materials, components, and supplies to designated areas.
  • Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation, including receiving documents, packing lists, labels, and inventory records.
  • Operate forklifts safely during receiving, storage, material transfers, order preparation, and other warehouse activities.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report safety concerns, incidents, equipment damage, or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory transactions.
  • Support inventory counts and help identify and resolve quantity or documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow established procedures for material handling, inventory control, receiving, labeling, and workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse personnel to ensure materials are available when needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a warehouse assistant, logistics operator, material handler, or forklift operator
  • Experience with warehouse receiving, inventory, material movement, or production support (preferred)
  • Valid forklift operator certification (preferred)
  • Experience using SAP or another ERP/WMS/inventory management system (preferred)
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse systems
  • Experience printing labels and preparing or reviewing warehouse documentation
  • Ability to understand purchase orders, receiving documents, quantities, and inventory records
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing warehouse environment (preferred)
