Job Description

A Houston-based independent wealth management firm is seeking a Financial Planner to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned advisor who enjoys building authentic relationships and helping women and couples navigate life's transitions such as retirement, career changes, divorce, widowhood, and business ownership. The Financial Planner is responsible for guiding new clients from initial meeting through financial plan implementation, working closely with the Co-Founder and President of the firm and the planning team to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet one-on-one with qualified prospects from seminars, workshops, referrals, and events.
  • Conduct meaningful discovery meetings that uncover each client's values, goals, concerns, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our planning team to develop comprehensive financial strategies.
  • Guide prospective clients through the first, second, and third meeting process.
  • Confidently ask for the business and help clients move forward with clarity.
  • Build long-term relationships through exceptional communication and follow-up.
  • Attend events, workshops, and community gatherings as a representative of the firm.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the client experience and strengthen the women's initiative.
  • Continue learning and growing alongside a collaborative advisory team.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor in a client facing environment
  • Retirement planning experience strongly preferred
  • CFP®, ChFC®, or equivalent designation preferred
  • Series 65 required
  • Life & Health Insurance License
  • Strong planning and relationship management experience
  • Proven ability to convert qualified prospects into long-term clients
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable
  • Collaborative mindset with a desire to be part of something bigger than yourself
  • Passion for serving women, couples, and families
  • Experience with financial planning software (MoneyGuidePro, Redtail, or similar) preferred
