Job Description
A worldwide leader in the manufacturing & distribution of critical application fittings, flanges, valves, pipes, and related products is seeking an Order Burner/Loader to conduct day-to-day activities pertaining to burning (shrink-wrap) and loading products for the shipping department. This is an exciting opportunity for a bilingual candidate who is familiar with warehouse procedures and has a high level of attention to detail. Reporting directly to the Shipping Supervisor, the new team member will drive operational excellence by ensuring accuracy & efficiency while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Location: Missouri City, TX 77489
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Ensure designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.).
- Effectively communicate with department supervisors.
- Visually inspect all material to identify any non-conformances.
- Ensure all material is protected from potential damage that could occur during transit.
- Package material securely.
- Utilize Pick Ticket information to accurately verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.
- Properly match shipments to the loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material.
- Photograph loaded product (photo verification).
- Properly fill out information required on pick ticket and accompanying forms.
- Attend safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
- Identify areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Material Verification and Documentation
- Visual inspection
- Markings on the shipment matches what is written on the Pick Ticket
- Pick Ticket is properly filled out (pulled by, quantities, heat numbers, etc.)
- Weights and Dimensions form is properly filled out
- Photo verification of product after packing
- Identify non-conformances and notify department leads and shipping supervisor.
- Segregate non-conforming product
- QMS
- Fully understand and maintain all expectations listed in the procedures and Work Instructions
- Follow Quality Policy and Department Processes.
- Understand the process of identifying and segregating non-conforming product from good material.
- Safety
- Utilize all required PPE.
- Maintain the daily checklist on the picker/forklift.
- Attend daily safety meetings.
- Ongoing responsibility to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain clear aisle ways and organize racks and dock space
- Always aware of potential hazards in surrounding area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of warehouse experience
- Speak and read English; Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
- Basic computer skills; experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
- Ability to drive forklift and secure certification
- Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support
- Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned
- Take initiative and can work independently
- Require a high level of attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
