Job Description

A well-established interior commercial construction company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project coordination and documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in administrative and construction-related processes. Working collaboratively, the successful candidate will improve operational efficiency by managing project documentation, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and ensuring timely subcontractor agreements while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and smooth project execution.

Location: Houston, TX 77008
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Manage project documentation to include Submittal Logs, Contact Lists, Award Letters, Requests for Information, Subcontractor Agreements, and Meeting Minutes.
  • Manage the submittal process to include requesting submittals from subcontractors, reviewing submittals with attention to detail, communicating with architects, engineers, and clients for approval, and releasing approved submittals to subcontractors.
  • Responsible for creating and issuing Subcontractor Agreements.
  • Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather, organize, and submit closeout documentation to clients.
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
  • Perform other administrative tasks.

Requirements:
  • 2-4+ years of administrative experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
  • Must be comfortable to help with the small things that make a big difference - team player!
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus!
