Job Description
A stable, collaborative Houston-area manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join the team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented quality professional with experience in inspection, documentation, and fastener testing within a manufacturing environment. Working under general supervision, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing inspections, testing, and quality documentation activities to ensure products meet established specifications, customer requirements, and ISO quality standards.

Location: Houston, TX 77008
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, tests, and calibrations in accordance with company quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation required by the company and laboratory.
- Inspect products and materials to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
- Support fastener testing and inspection processes as required.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Complete routine reports, records, and related documentation accurately.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ISO and quality system requirements.
- Help ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience required, including at least 2 years related to fastener testing and inspection, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Training or experience with ISO requirements preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work through standardized problems with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands regularly throughout the workday; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus required
- Steel-toe shoes required
