Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Fittings) to assist with daily warehouse tasks and ensure accurate order processing. The ideal candidate is a reliable, safety-minded worker who can handle physical duties. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the new hire will keep operations running smoothly by picking orders, moving materials, and loading/unloading shipments while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

$17.50/hr.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday (as needed) 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX 77075
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

Fill orders accurately, double checking size, grade, alloy, quality, and heat numbers.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Must be able to follow all customer special instructions listed on pick tickets.
Ensure material is put to stock in a timely manner.
Perform Shipping & Receiving activities, including labeling for UPS, FedEx, etc
Order picking and material handling duties
Operate saws, cranes, and sit-down forklifts as needed.
Use a tape measure accurately.
Use computers for order processing and labeling tasks.
Operate equipment safely such as forklifts, threading machine, and shrink-fast gun.
Load and off-load incoming and outgoing trucks.
Always use/maintain proper protective equipment in designated working areas.
Maintain and organize a safe work environment.
Cross-train and support all warehouse areas as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to climb, lift, pull and perform other various physical functions
Must be able to lift 50/75 lbs.
Ability read a tape measure and other measuring devices that may be required to perform job duties
Experience in a Steel Service Center is preferred
Experience with fittings, order picking, shipping/receiving, and forklift operation is a plus
