Job Description

A high growth, PE backed electrical testing company in North Texas is seeking a VP of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their team in Irving. The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for providing support and strategic partnership around financial planning and analysis and may include acting in a strategic planning. This role will report into our CFO and will work closely with our companies’ leaders. This role will be highly involved with company strategic planning, transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financial structuring and valuation advisory.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver insightful weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc business profitability analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluate and roll-up regional/branch financial plans and economic models; deliver reliable and insightful business outlook.
  • Improve and sustain consistency in forecasting capabilities, building a forward looking and action-oriented process with bias towards revenue growth and margin expansion. 
  • Work collaboratively with peers and partners in Finance, Sales, Operations, Business Development, HR and IT to improve financial acumen and drive business results through effective use of FP&A insights.
  • Support regular operating review process by assisting in development of business actions and reliable forecasting processes.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis including discounted cash flow models, comprehensive pro-forma merger model analysis and manage corporate financial models.
  • Lead presentations of internal financial reporting and analysis, including asset management reports to senior leadership team, investor relations, and finance and accounting.
  • Partner with the executive management team to facilitate strategic planning and analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize operational efficiency and enhance profitability.
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
  • Builds, reviews, and presents ad-hoc reports and analyses for fundraising documents, investor requests, and senior management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, MBA or MACC preferred, CPA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive financial management with significant experience partnering with operation to drive profitable growth 
  • Firsthand experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital Space or high growth company 
  • Transaction execution and integration (M&A) require
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and provide tremendous value to the organization
  • Successful leadership of FP&A team with proven results-oriented mind-set 
  • Excellent collaboration skills across all levels of the organization demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Led budget and forecasting process at a success company at scale with a distributed branch network
  • Ability to manage complex projects and build processes to drive results & productivity
  • Mastery of key investment metrics (IRR, ROI, etc.)
  • Complex financial modeling
  • Experience with Power BI, Access, relational database, and/or Tableau
  • Experience managing a Microsoft SQL database, including development and maintenance of written queries that support all financial reporting tools and dashboards a plus
  • Experience managing adaptive Insights management, including integrations, modeling, and formula/forecast building a plus
  • Experience in financial consolidation, including elimination
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Understanding of project accounting, specifically fixed Fee and time & materials and steps for proper governance of revenue recognition
