Job Description
A fast-growing trucking company providing oil rig mobilization, crane services, and production services is looking for a Traveling Recruiter to develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator familiar with recruitment laws, regulations, and best practices, specifically within the transportation and oil and gas industry. Working with the HR Manager, the new team member will ensure the effectiveness of recruitment processes by implementing efficient and effective recruiting methods & strategies.

Location: New Mexico/Texas
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assist with the interview process; attend and conduct interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process; identify and recommend salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attend and participate in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Formal education related to HR or recruiting/retention field.
- At least five years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
- Must be able to travel regionally over 50% of the time (NM, OK, TX, and LA).
- Proficient with the oil and gas industry with an emphasis on trucking and transportation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish bilingual preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with state and federal hiring agencies and programs
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
