Job Description

A well-established exploration & production company is looking for a Total Rewards Analyst to play a critical role in the design, implementation, and administration of its Total Rewards program. The ideal candidate demonstrates outstanding interpersonal abilities and a deep understanding of the best practices for compensation and benefits, along with a familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the new analyst will achieve business goals by effectively implementing processes while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to compensation and benefits.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices and maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys to collect and analyze data for use in determining our total rewards strategy.
  • Support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with HR and other cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and streamline workflows.
  • Analyze total rewards data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for total rewards processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to compensation and benefits.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR partners and business leaders on total rewards-related issues and inquiries.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of total rewards training and communications to employees and managers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits analysis, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, as well as HRIS systems and other compensation/benefits tools
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Interpersonal Skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data to inform decision-making
    • Experience in process improvement with a focus on streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to a diverse audience
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
    • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Global mindset with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones
    • Pro-active self-starter who can quickly adapt and upskill to new project requirements and apply their knowledge and skills to countries across the globe
