Job Description

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Title Examiner to obtain title examination materials, review documents, and create run sheets. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of real estate transactions and how real property is described. Title experience is a must.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

$50,000-$70,000

Location: Central Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

Obtain and review title examination materials from title plants and/or county records
Assemble chain of titles that includes deeds, probate or heirship, liens and involuntary liens against owner.
Create run sheets containing legal descriptions for land assessed.
Provide information regarding the property owners, filed liens, and the legal description of the property assessed under a delinquent tax account
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

2+ years of title examining experience is required
Strong understanding of legal documents
Knowledge of real estate transactions, ownership of real property, and experience using title plants and courthouse records.
Strong MS Office skills
Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills are a must
