Job Description

A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative and clerical support across departments. The ideal candidate is a professional, organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and multitasking skills. Communicating effectively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by coordinating office activities, managing correspondence, and supporting sales and administrative functions while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a positive work environment.

Salary: $20/hr+ DOE
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temporary

Responsibilities:
  • Operate telephone business equipment in a professional, courteous, and diplomatic manner to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls.
  • Answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties.
  • Provide information regarding activities conducted at the establishment, location of departments, offices and employees within organization.
  • File & scan correspondence, invoices, receipts and other records. Locate and remove material from file when requested by management.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail distribution as well as inter-office shipments on a daily basis.
  • Handle invoicing and delivery of model cranes per customer orders.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints and comments as well as actions taken.
  • Prepare and deliver incoming sales related invoices and expense reports for Managers approval.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, which may include assisting various divisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, vendor and staff information.
  • Provide backup and support for Repair Shop Administration Specialist.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage, and complete projects in individual and group settings
  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to multi-task while completing work in a competent and professional manner
  • Demonstrate concern for the accuracy and quality of work. Take steps to correct mistakes and uses feedback to improve overall performance.
