Job Description
A leading manufacturer is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to grow sales and expand its market presence. The ideal candidate is a skilled, customer-focused professional with technical knowledge and sales experience. Communicating effectively, the new hire will develop new business and support existing clients by providing technical solutions and following up on leads while promoting the company’s products and reputation.

Responsibilities:Â
- Growing sales primarily in Texas, concentrating on the oil & gas market for repairing mechanical seals & valves.Â
- Follow up on leads generated by the company’s marketing activities and prospecting for new business, especially on core products.Â
- Provide in-depth technical support to identify and solve customer problems using company’s products/services.Â
- Present the company professionally to maintain market leading image & reputation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in the O&G industry
- Proven sales success
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Some evidence of practical skills, for example, fixing/repairing items
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsÂ
- Required travel throughout Texas (up to 1 week per month)
- Likely to involve some travel to other states in the USA
