Job Description
A fast-growing, medium-sized accounting firm is looking for a Tax Manager to oversee the financial reporting and initiatives for designated clients. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent interpersonal abilities and has expertise in preparing and evaluating tax returns. With a comprehensive understanding of federal and multi-state taxation, the new leader will positively impact the business by ensuring the accuracy and general efficiency of the tax accounting department while prioritizing client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients and manage relationships as the primary point of contact.
- Review tax returns - individual (1040), trust/estate (1041), partnership (1065), S corp (1120S), C corp (1120), and gift tax returns (709).
- Lead a team of staff accountants and supervise their work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in accounting preferred
- Active Texas CPA license required
- 5 years of tax experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work required
