Job Description

One of Houston’s well-established retail stores is looking for a Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with in-depth knowledge of retail operations and excellent decision-making, organizational, and in-store planning skills. Working cross-functionally, the new manager will deliver store sales growth, profitability, and a world-class customer experience by developing successful operational strategies aligned with business objectives.

Location: Houston, TX 77057
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to develop successful operational strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategies and increase sales.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
  • Collaborate with policy and process setting.
  • Evaluate and improve operations for financial performance.
  • Develop store strategies to increase customer traffic and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure employees are productive, well-trained, and develop professionally.
  • Implement cross-training of employees to maintain productivity.
  • Direct employee assessment process.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff.
  • Lead and develop store staff, including sales, buyers, e-commerce, and administration.
  • Assist in selection, evaluation, and development of team members.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of Store Manager experience - proven ability to manage all aspects of a retail operation
  • Strong leadership and management style along with confident decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and in-store planning skills
  • Business & financial acumen, with proven record in managing store profitability
  • Customer-focused dedication along with strong sales skill
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout retail space
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at a time and move fixtures on sales floor; be able to use a ladder, step stool, and have the ability to push a flatbed cart
