Job Description

A growing industrial supplier is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to maintain the organization's financial records and transactions accurately. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of accounts receivable & sales tax reporting.
                                                               
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + Bonus
Benefits: 100% paid benefits for employees and family
Location: West Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administering accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Enter daily payables in QuickBooks.
  • Weekly check run, initiate wire transfers and submit checks.
  • Record prepayments and unpaid reports.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Create and enter daily invoices.
  • Receive payments and discounts, inquire payment status from customers.
  • Process new customer applications.
  • Handle bank reconciliations and biweekly cash reports.
  • Monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting for multiple states

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar discipline required
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting field
  • QuickBooks Desktop experience required, Strong MS Excel
  • PowerBI experience strongly preferred
