Job Description

An independent commodity brokerage is looking for a Sr. Network Administrator to deliver technical services and support, focusing on network operations. The ideal candidate is a team player proficient in various operating systems and familiar with backup and recovery software and methodologies. In a collaborative environment, the new team member will contribute to operational excellence by ensuring high network performance, system availability, and reliability.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware or software systems on servers and workstations.
  • Consult with users and vendors over the phone, in person, or via online chat to understand and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Provide technical services and support at the network level and monitor network performance.
  • Assist with help desk as needed.
  • Assess user needs and provide technical solutions such as patches, upgrades, or enhancements.
  • Support and administer on – premise Microsoft Windows Servers, computers, networks, routers, switches, printers, and all other IT Infrastructure.
  • Document technical support procedures.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 Pro and Windows Server 2016 Operating Systems; experience in Linux OS is a plus
  • Experience in Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • General knowledge of networking and network services
  • Experience in maintaining/monitoring Cloud Infrastructure is a plus
  • Troubleshoot PC, Servers, and Multi-Media issues
