Job Description

A leading law firm is seeking a Spanish Bilingual Collector collect on past due property tax accounts. The ideal candidate is a goal-driven and resourceful communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to navigate complex client needs.

Location: Central Houston, TX

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

Utilize various skip tracing techniques and collection strategies to locate the right parties.
Responsible for outbound/inbound calls – communicating with individuals regarding their account.
Locate and monitor overdue accounts, notify customer of delinquent accounts.
Persuade customers to pay amounts due, set payment arrangements, set up payment schedules.
Manage email inbox, voicemails, and all communication logs to follow up with customers.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bilingual in Spanish required
High School Diploma or GED
Previous consumer collections experience is required.
Flexibility to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; Availability for overtime as needed
Basic computer skills and math skills required.
Knowledge of FDCPA, HIPAA, state and local collection laws and the ability to be licensed in all states is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
