Location:Â Houston, TX 77064
Schedule: Â Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and support the distribution of finished goods from dispatch by:
- Identifying on-time delivery requirements.
- Customer delivery requirements.
- Reporting on-time delivery outcomes.
- Pull part requests from service and production technicians.
- Collect and close completed orders from production.
- Generate packing lists and certification.
- Generate the shipping documentation for the Export and Compliance Specialist.
- Support distribution activities such as packing and forklift requirements.
- Deputize for the Production Supervisor when absent.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety.
- Provides status reports to management as required.
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with three plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Limited supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with a computerized dispatch records system preferred
- Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping terminals required
- Qualified forklift driver advantageous
- PC computer familiarity
- Demonstrated effective communication skills: written oral and inter-personal skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handling frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities
- Ability to rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Be organized and efficient
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline traits
