Job Description

An international producer & supplier of industrial products is looking for a Senior Quality Control Manager to oversee all aspects of quality control processes, from developing and implementing quality assurance policies to conducting inspections and audits. The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation in quality management, exceptional attention to detail, and strong leadership capabilities. Working cross-functionally, the new leader will enhance operational efficiency by reducing costs and delivering top-tier quality while adhering to regulatory standards and meeting customer expectations.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, testing and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Establish metrics for quality assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage a team of quality control inspectors, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze quality control data and trends to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continue to grow and develop Quality Control System.
  • Oversee & guide R&D projects & processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field; Advanced degree or certification (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify root causes of quality issues
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment
