Location: Mulberry/Lakeland, FL
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:Â
- Design, analyze, and implement electrical systems for industrial projects, including power distribution, control systems, and lighting.
- Oversee the development of project plans, specifications, calculations, and detailed schematics to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Lead and coordinate the engineering team, subcontractors, and consultants to achieve project objectives within budget and timelines.
- Conduct system modeling and simulations to predict performance and identify potential issues before implementation, including Arc Flash and IR assessments.
- Ensure all electrical engineering projects adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as sustainability practices.
- Manage the procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring technical specifications and quality standards are met.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to the project team, stakeholders, and clients.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; A Master's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for Florida or Texas
- Electrical Contractor License is a plus
- Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP), Procore, and MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with clients
