Job Description

A leading provider of advanced engineering technology services is seeking a Sales Manager to grow accounts and capture new business within the energy sector. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales leader with strong technical aptitude and customer relationship skills. Communicating effectively, the new hire will drive revenue growth by developing opportunities and managing the sales cycle while coordinating with internal teams to support customer needs.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
  • Gain an understanding of Client/Market in the region of responsibility.
  • Participate in industry Events/Exhibitions.
  • Identify and make regular contact with potential and existing customers within the region.
  • Identify existing customer opportunities and new key projects that the company can support.
  • Attend customer meetings offsite as necessary to meet business goals.
  • Respond to customers' enquiries/requests by email/phone.
  • Participate in internal sales calls as necessary.
  • Work with technical and customer support teams in support of potential opportunities.
  • Provide input for marketing/PR in the region of responsibility.
  • Participate and lead deal review calls as necessary.
  • Provide direction for Customer Support teams in support of enquiry .
  • Review tenders commercially and technically.
  • Provide excellent communication and leadership between Sales and Customer Support to allow effective fulfilment of orders.

Requirements:              
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and progressive sales experience may be considered
  • Experience in the Oil, Gas, and Energy industry is essential
  • Ability to travel between 30% and 50% to meet customer needs
  • Knowledge and experience of working with gas turbine customers in the Asia-Pacific
  • Gas Turbine background. Preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of Honeywell product
  • Understanding of Arkwin product
  • Understanding of Siemens TB5000 gas turbine
  • Understanding of Siemens Industrial Avon gas turbine
  • Understanding of GE LM gas turbine
