Job Description

A well-established chemical manufacturing company is looking for a Sales Manager to achieve defined targets for new business & cost management. The ideal candidate is a sales expert with technical knowledge of waxes & petroleum jellies. Working closely with a team, the new leader will achieve sales growth objectives by developing an effective business development strategy while maintaining continuous improvement and customer relationships in compliance with company policies & processes.

Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $120,000-$150,000 + Bonus

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for NAFTA customer sales growth: lead follow up and customer acquisition.
  • Assist with customer lead investigations and projects as assigned.
  • Assist with market assessment maintenance.
  • Ensure achievement of defined targets for new business & cost management.
  • Develop renewable bio product markets.
  • Responsible for customer relationship development for assigned accounts.
  • Provide customer quotations based on approved quote worksheets.
  • Responsible for EI/CRM documentation and maintenance.
  • Manage customer pricing notifications and documentation.
  • Update monthly and annual forecasts in E1.
  • Assist accounts receivables.
  • Attend weekly and monthly team meetings.
  • Respond to lead emails or calls in a prompt manner without delay.
  • Submit QWS worksheets for GM approval monthly.
  • Submit CRM visit/call reports within 1 business day of the activity.
  • Provide monthly updates on sales activities.
  • Maintain bouncing scorecard new business development tracking tool.

Requirements:
  • Educational background in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering is required
  • Minimum 7 years sales and/or technical experience
  • Contract negotiations training/experience
  • Understanding of incoterms and basic logistics
  • Technical knowledge of waxes and petroleum jellies
  • New product/technical product business development experience
