Job Description

A well-established construction & power systems equipment dealer is looking for a Sales Manager to provide overall leadership and management for a team of machinery sales representatives. The ideal candidate is a sales expert with exceptional sales management and negotiation abilities. Through effective communication, the new manager will achieve revenue and profitability goals through strategic business development while maintaining exceptional leadership with all levels of customers, partners, and suppliers.
Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

  • Ensure the Company's Value of Work Together is demonstrated across the sales teams and maintain exceptional leadership with all levels of customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Manage team of Machinery Sales Representatives.
  • Evaluate performance of assigned sales team. 
  • Ensure we continuously deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Organize training opportunities for sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Work with sales reps to handle escalated collection disputes.
  • Focus efforts to grow the business with new customers.
  • Coordinate merchandising programs.
  • Set individual goals and targets for sales representatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or related field
  • 5 years of industry sales/sales management experience
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of education requirements
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment industry, including sales and service
  • Understanding of financial reports and accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated successful sales leadership experience
  • Think outside the box and handle high-pressure situations
  • Ability to motivate sales representatives to increase market share
  • Negotiation experience
