Job Description

A fast-growing, US-based company specializing in warehouse solutions and services with a focus on sustainability is seeking a Sales Assistant/Dispatcher to deliver exceptional assistance to the General Manager, Sales, and Production teams. The ideal candidate is an energetic, professional, highly organized self-starter with excellent inside sales, logistics, and customer service skills. Communicating with customers, the new team member will contribute to profitability by developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with a strong focus on achieving customer satisfaction.

Location: Houston, TX 77088
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Assist GM, Sales, and production team with the daily administration of the Houston plant by fulfilling specific tasks and administrative support.
  • Responsible for responding to all requests by customers via email and phone.
  • Responsible for creating orders using QuickBooks and requests for service by customers.
  • Schedule deliveries and pickups with truck drivers.
  • Assist sales representatives with organizing and prioritizing incoming/outgoing requests for quotations/orders/service agreements.
  • Responsible for many office administration duties such as weekly timecards and piece pay calculations, lumber deliveries, Excel documents, filing, personnel files, and organization of all site records.
  • Communicate effectively to follow-through on customer’s requests with internal teams: GM, Sales, finance, production, transportation in a timely manner.
  • Work with corporate staff, GM, sales, production, truck drivers, and outside vendors.
  • Manage inventories of production, office, and sales parts and supplies and placing orders with our preferred vendors.

Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment
  • Must be Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to type well
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and a quick learner
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure
  • Ability to take direction and work well independently
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
