Job Description

A leading subcontractor specializing in a wide range of flooring and tile options is seeking a National Account Manager to drive sales and manage client relationships across national accounts. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven professional with a strong background in business development and project management. Working collaboratively with internal teams, the new leader will contribute to the company's growth by building lasting client relationships, executing successful projects, and meeting sales targets while leveraging strategic insights to identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with new and existing customers by delivering exceptional service, understanding their unique challenges.
  • Identify customer needs and propose business deals by analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback to align offerings with market demands.
  • Proactively generate leads and develop strategies to acquire national clients through targeted outreach, networking, and industry-specific campaigns, creating a sustainable and growing pipeline of opportunities.
  • Effective identification and conversion of high-quality leads into long-term clients.
  • Development of new opportunities and successful market penetration.
  • Ability to meet & exceed annual sales goal requirements.
  • Quality of deliverables/accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • CRM Management & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client and prospect data in the CRM system, ensuring all interactions, progress updates, and key details are recorded promptly and effectively.
  • Generate detailed and actionable reports on sales activities, project statuses, and market insights, providing valuable feedback to the sales team and management.
  • Leverage CRM insights to strategize client engagement, improve pipeline management, and prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Accurate and up-to-date CRM data that enhances decision-making.
  • Timely generation of insightful and actionable reports.
  • Improved client retention and conversion rates driven by strategic use of CRM data.
  • Consistent achievement or surpassing of sales goals informed by CRM analytics.
  • Operational Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project and operations teams
  • Ensure seamless communication and execution across departments.
  • Smooth execution of projects.
  • Minimal delays or operational conflicts.

    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma; Some college preferred
    • 5 years of experience in sales in the construction industry, selling into Multi-Family, New Construction specifically 
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Willingness to travel 80 % percent of the time
    • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
    • Track record of achieving sales goals
    • Sports minded energetic team players (hunter mentality)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
    • Attention to detail; Accurate
    • Able to handle private and confidential information with physical and ethical care
    • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to individual and organizational success
    • Excellent business ethics, professionalism, and integrity
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
