Job Description

A leading company in the plumbing industry is seeking a Business Development Representative to identify new opportunities and expand commercial market reach. The ideal candidate is a motivated, results-driven communicator with a passion for sales. Communicating effectively, the new hire will grow the client base by building relationships, generating leads, and securing new business while supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Salary + Additional Benefits: 
  • $85,000-$100,000 + Commission

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Qualification
  • Identify and research potential commercial clients (building owners, property managers, facility managers, developers, etc.) through cold calling, networking, online research, and industry events.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria to determine potential fit for company services.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all lead-generation and qualification activities in the CRM.
Relationship Building & Networking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand outreach and generate leads.
  • Professionally represent the company, showcasing expertise and commitment to client satisfaction.
Sales & Presentation
  • Conduct initial consultations and presentations to potential clients, highlighting services and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
  • Follow up with leads to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the estimating department to ensure accurate proposals are prepared.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–5 years of sales or business development experience; construction, trades, or facility services is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and competitive drive
  • Organized, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to understand general plumbing products and services
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
