Job Description
A leading manufacturer of powder and liquid IBCs is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to expand market presence and develop new business opportunities across key industries. The ideal candidate is an energetic, technically minded sales professional with strong communication and customer relationship skills. Communicating effectively, the new leader will drive growth by identifying prospects, managing the full sales cycle, and supporting partners and agents while strengthening customer relationships and contributing to strategic sales planning.

Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify industry, consumer, and competitive trends and make recommendations for action plans and programs.
- Develop New Sales Opportunities: Develop new sales opportunities for the company. This work will include our existing database of customers, web research, contacting via email, telephone, and networking. Once contact is established, take part in customer site visits, help co-ordination demonstrations/trials at the company or customer sites, etc.
- Sales Activities: Work with customers and the company to review and define User Requirement Specifications. Define and coordinate response to enquiries (type, format, timescale, and content). Follow up on Proposals with customers. Negotiate and close orders.
- Marketing: Work collaboratively with the marketing/business development team in Europe on the input and execution of marketing plans.Â
- Sales Support Information: Create information for interested customers to improve the company’s chance of selling a project solution (emails, PowerPoint Presentations, Process Flow Sheets, etc.).Â
Requirements:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Process or Mechanical Engineering degree + 5 years of sales experienceÂ
- Experience with capital good sales or Chemical sales. (This can be a long sales cycle.
- Analytical and mathematical skills; capable of understanding and manipulating numerical data
- Experience with CRM systems
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite – as a minimum, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Flexibility and capability to undertake international travel
- Direct knowledge of a powder handling facility is beneficial
- Knowledge of ATEX, UL is beneficial
- Understanding of Lean theory and implementation is beneficial
