Job Description
A leading manufacturer of valves, renowned for its high-quality products and exceptional customer service, is looking for a talented and result-driven Regional Sales Manager responsible for managing the sales and marketing activities for its valve products. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of product sales and marketing efforts through the manufacturers’ representative selling arm and product acceptance within all markets, end-users, and the engineering/contractor level.
- Pertain to specific geographical boundaries and/or target priorities as set by management.
- Travel as required to representatives and key accounts (50% minimum).
- Responsible for establishment, maintenance, and review of representatives.
- Develop and sustain product acceptance and approvals at all major users and E/C’s.
- Set sales forecasts in conjunction with representatives and striving to exceed these forecasts.
- Set budgets in conjunction with management and strive to work within these guidelines.
- Coordinate product sales efforts within the representative network through product training, joint sales efforts, effective communication, maintaining required marketing tools, and constant focus on the company.
- Work closely with all other departments and people at Houston and Herne, especially inside sales, engineering, and manufacturing, and always remember that to sell a product, all concerns within the company must be met.
- Manage, mediate, and make decisions regarding representative contracts, territories, and inter-rep involvement.
- Assist in the preparation and participation in trade shows, table-tops, product seminars, and sales meetings.
- Perform any duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Business Administration/Science
- 5 years of experience and/or demonstrated ability and experience
- Experience selling valves
- Experience selling to end users and/or through distributors
