Job Description
A worldwide leader in the surge protection industry is looking for a result-driven Regional Sales Manager to develop revenue and market presence across various industries by selling into target/key accounts in a specific geographic region. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in sales, engineering, and product management and well-versed in basic electrical fundamentals. Working closely with customers, partners, and team members, the new leader will meet/exceed sales growth objectives by developing profitable marketing strategies while maintaining long-term client relationships and world-class customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and pursue sales opportunities with direct equipment manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEM)/control panel builders, distribution sales channels, consulting engineers, and end-users.
- Work with customers, partners, and team members to satisfy strategic and performance goals of the territory.
- Perform professional technical presentations in-person and virtually.
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
- Understand the product specification, product life cycles, and project bidding process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management and/or electrical engineering plus 3-5 years of sales, engineering, or product management experience
- 5-10 years of on-the-job experience
- Surge protection or power quality experience is a plus
- Fluency in basic electrical fundamentals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Self-motivated and organized
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Knowledge of company products, sales structure, targeted customers, overall organization
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Must be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently in order to be able to perform job requirements
- Must be able to travel domestically 25-50% of the time
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and mouse to perform data entry
- Must have a basic knowledge of business math
- Must be able to work as a member of a team
- Must be punctual in all aspects required
