Job Description

One of the nation’s largest independent land services companies is looking for a result-driven Regional Sales Manager to attract new clients and new business with existing clients related to various industries. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who knows technical writing and proposal preparation. Working closely with customers, the new leader will meet/exceed sales growth objectives by developing profitable marketing strategies while maintaining long-term client relationships and world-class customer service.

Location: Georgia - Remote
Type of Position: Direct Hire

  • Present and sell company services to current and prospective clients.
  • Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
  • Lead development of new business opportunities that support the overall growth strategy.
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the results of past campaigns and developing new initiatives and partnerships.
  • Work independent of a corporate office in a remote location with little daily supervision.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and manage complex sales cycle and close strategic deals.
  • Seek out new prospects and build long-term relationships; understand their business challenges.
  • Conduct extensive phone and email outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, concepts, practices, and products.
  • Work directly with Sr. Director, Sales to develop a deep understanding on the business metrics and performance.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals with support and guidance of the Sr. Director and EVP.
  • Assist in preparing any RFPs for work, including assisting in the preparing overviews, executive summaries, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
  • Meet personal and team sales targets.
  • Attend meeting, sales events, and trainings to keep abreast of the latest industry developments.
  • Report and provide feedback to Senior Management.
  • Responsible for the overall support, coordination, and evaluation of assigned work.
  • Responsible for the management of the entire proposal process and successful, on time submission of proposals and management of the contract records maintenance process.

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 50-60% Travel
  • At least five years direct experience in technical writing and proposal preparation
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain minimum automobile liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 or provide an approved indemnification agreement
  • Require excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, contracts, company policy, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations and formulate appropriate recommendations for business actions based on understanding of the same
  • Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, company policy, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Must have experience with proposal writing
