Job Description
A well-established independent oilfield services company is looking for a Quality Control Inspector – Trainee to provide general assistance to the quality control departmental staff as needed. The ideal candidate understands quality control procedures and processes. Working with autonomy, the new team member will drive operational excellence by implementing continuous improvement methods & techniques to ensure products meet quality & efficiency standards.

1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Identify parts by stamping process to maintain full traceability.
- Keep all documentation packets and data in neat and orderly manner.
- Organize parts after manufacturing operations for Inspectors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in a manufacturing environment with inspection/machining experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to learn and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry during the inspection process
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to work under close supervision while training
- Ability to pass a test designed to demonstrate finger, hand, wrist, and arm dexterity in order to operate proper stamping identification equipment and electric buffing equipment
- Basic skills in MS Office products to include Word and Excel. MRP or related systems a plus
- Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail
