Job Description

The largest commodity brokerage firm is seeking a QA Analyst to ensure the quality and performance of web-based applications through rigorous testing and automation. The ideal candidate is an experienced software quality assurance professional with expertise in performance testing and Agile Scrum methodologies. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance software reliability by developing automated test scripts, identifying defects, and optimizing testing processes while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring seamless application performance.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements and design detailed test cases and procedures.
  • Perform functional, system integration, volume, UI, and performance testing for the financial applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for UI and API performance testing.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Attend design reviews and user meetings as needed.
  • Document test cases, report defects, and analyze test execution results.
  • Use tools like Selenium WebDriver (C#), TeamCity, and other performance testing frameworks.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on web-based application testing
  • 5+ years writing test cases, test plans, and automating UI and API tests
  • 5+ years working with Windows operating systems and applications
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server or MySQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience in Agile Scrum environments, iterative development, and release management
  • Familiarity with Team Foundation Server and defect tracking systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
