Job Description

A leading company in the condition monitoring and asset protection industry is seeking a Leak Testing Technician to assemble, calibrate, test, and audit products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with experience in manufacturing and assembly environments. Working collaboratively, the new team member will drive operational excellence by ensuring products meet specifications, drawings, and procedures while adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Location: Houston, TX 77064
Type of Position: Temp
Hours: 7am-4pm and overtime as needed

Responsibilities:
  • Build, calibrate, test, and audit Uson leak test products per specifications and procedures for each product within the budgeted hours.
  • Experience using various tools and methods (e.g., pressure testing, ultrasonic leak detectors, helium leak detectors, vacuum leak testing, or bubble tests) to identify leaks in components, systems, or assemblies.
  • Ability to set up and operate specialized leak testing equipment to verify that components are sealed correctly and meet required standards.
  • Verify conformance to product specifications, application protocols, and audit document outcomes.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to resolve issues on the production floor and provide feedback for continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • Maintain 100% accurate and timely documentation on job hours, BOM/parts used, production data et cetera.
  • Ensure appropriate calibrated instruments and tools are used consistently.
  • Adhere to ISO-9001 and any other applicable quality policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, quality, and compliance policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area.
  • Continuously learn and receive training on new Uson products and technology.
  • Work diligently and efficiently, keeping in mind quality practices consistently.
  • Keep a cooperative attitude with team members, leaders, and co-workers.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays, per business needs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • High school education or higher; technical or associate degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and usage
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment
  • Knowledge of assembly, electronic, and pneumatic parts
  • Swagelok certificate on fittings and tubing is desired but not required
  • Knowledgeable in reading and understanding drawings or schematics
  • Working knowledge of ISO policies and work instructions
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to include but not limited to, solid oral and written communication
  • Motivated to learn new tasks
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications
  • Ability to identify and escalate problems
  • Detail-oriented with the ability and drive to follow up on outstanding tasks
  • High level of reliability and accountability, as many functions of the role are subject to stringent or changing deadlines
  • Daily, may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, to walk and sit for extended periods of time
  • Push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects, manipulate and utilize hand tools
  • Ability to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others on the phone and in the office
  • May require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve equipment and other items
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
