Job Description
A fast-growing turn-key environmental services and technology provider is looking for a Process Engineer to provide process engineering services for H2S removal solutions and proprietary licensed technologies. The ideal candidate knows process simulators and is familiar with process engineering principles & best practices. Under the direction of the Technical Manager, the new team member will develop and implement process improvement strategies to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and safety while adhering to company policies & procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and run process simulations and design of upstream and midstream oil and gas equipment, and downstream licensed technologies.
- Prepare material, heat, and utility balances.
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Material of Construction Diagrams, Design Temperature, and Pressure Diagrams.
- Perform equipment sizing/rating for all type of equipment, including columns, heat exchangers, vessels, and pumps.
- Perform hydraulic calculations.
- Develop Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
- Develop process data sheets and specifications for equipment, instruments, PSV’s, etc.
- Develop preliminary plot plans and equipment arrangement sketches.
- Perform the final write up for proposal, process, technical or feasibility studies, process or equipment in response to inquiries/requisition.
- Develop equipment and plant cost estimation for proposals.
- Provide various technical information for the commercial part of proposals, studies, etc.
- Attend start-up of process units, field data gathering, test runs, performance test runs.
- Attend client meetings and interface in a technical capacity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemical Engineering from four-year college or university
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Engineering with background in process design or a related field
- Familiar with research, development, manufacturing, and marketing of proprietary sulfur removal solutions, including: H2S adsorbents and specialty catalysts
- Good knowledge of Process simulators such as SimSci, Aspen, Hysys.Pro II
- Very familiar with Microsoft Office package
- Able to easy assimilate in-house process design calculation tools – spreadsheets
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; E-mail; internet software; order processing systems; database software; contact management systems; and specific technical software (simulations, etc.)
