Job Description

A leading pool building company is seeking a Plan Auditor to review and evaluate construction plans, ensuring they meet precise specifications for construction. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a background in engineering and proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the new team member will enhance project accuracy by meticulously auditing designs and ensuring compliance while managing multiple projects simultaneously and maintaining effective communication across teams.

Salary + Additional Benefits: 
  • $75,000-$115,000

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities: 
  • Audit and calculate all aspects of construction plans and backup documentation.
  • Plan checking of construction fees and assessments.
  • Prepare plans for construction so that they are easy to understand and build.
  • Verify municipality requirements and assure plans meet all.
  • Set up plans for municipal permits.
  • Create PO’s from bids that are not a part of normal services.
  • Serve as liaison between sales team and construction supervisors.
  • Plan and manage audit workload in the most efficient manner.
  • Communicate with internal personnel to guarantee the maximum uptake of time & resources is part of duties. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of construction scheme and ensures that the scheme conforms to the framework of corporate standards and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Self-starter with high level of detail 
  • Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (other Engineering or Architectural degrees may be acceptable)
  • Prefers organizing work according to some definite plan and value systems
  • Working knowledge of inspection and testing of mechanical systems
  • Professional Engineer’s License in the State of Texas is desirable
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Working knowledge of Texas and local Building Codes
  • Valid driver’s license is required
