Job Description

A global leader in land seismic technology and manufacturing is looking for a Payroll Specialist on a temporary basis. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining employee records and time and attendance processes.  
                                               
Salary: $27-30/hr
Location: SW Houston, TX
Type of Position: TEMP – 4 months

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a point of contact for all vendors within the Houston location.  Researching and answering any question and uploading all payroll data required. 
  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee. 
  • Review paid time off requests, check for status change forms, new hires, terminations vacation pay out, severance, holidays, etc.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit elections and research any issues.
  • Complete monthly ADP bill reconciliation for the Houston and international offices.
  • Complete bi-weekly PR reports and GL reports for AP/AR to process, pay and/or post to the General Ledger.
  • Run bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports for international locations.
  • Reconcile Vacation Accrual Balances monthly to report to CFO.
  • Process and maintain employee records in vendor portal.  Add new hires and terminate former employees.
  • Pull monthly bill from vendor site, review & reconcile then forward for approval and payment.
  • Process all Fidelity notifications of EE loan initiation or loan pay off, address changes.
  • Complete biweekly submission of Fidelity /ER (employer match) contributions.
  • Reconcile any variances AP identifies and forward approval and payment.
  • Facilitate STD and LTD claims.
  • Process international monthly payroll in EXCEL workbook.
  • Ensure payroll adjustments are made (bonuses, raises, commissions, field pay, expenses, etc.)
  • Reconcile payroll before submitting to Director of Finance for review and process.
  • Complete and maintain EE pay statement and email monthly.

Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business and accounting or an equivalent combination of related experience and education required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience processing domestic and international payroll required
  • Strong knowledge in Payroll wages and tax laws
  • ADP WFN and ADP Enterprise eTIME experience required
  • Spice Works experience preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel experience required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of common fiscal procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
