Location:Â Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and reliable payroll services for employees across multiple global locations, including expatriate staff, ensuring service levels and key performance indicators are consistently achieved.
- Partner with external payroll vendors to drive optimal service performance.
- Prioritize employee and customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional payroll support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll and HR data management, with a focus on enhancing automation for data collection, collation, and submission to payroll providers.
- Support the execution of payroll-related projects to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Leverage expertise to contribute to efforts aimed at standardizing payroll processes across various locations.
- Act as a subject matter expert to resolve payroll issues, ensuring satisfactory outcomes through proactive problem-solving.
- Provide insights and performance data to support payroll compliance and process monitoring.
- Conduct audit-level reviews to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal company policies.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and employees to mitigate potential payroll concerns, while managing expectations where necessary.
- Collaborate with HR teams to align payroll services with broader business needs.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy, support compliance with internal controls, and participate in relevant audits.
- Uphold strict compliance standards, ensuring employee and HR records are maintained securely and in accordance with data protection laws and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- Professional Payroll Certification (CPP or similar)
- Prior experience in working the payroll function in a global company
- Worked within a shared service environment
- Previously been involved in an RFP or transformation project
- Prior exposure to coaching/supervising people in a formal or informal arrangement
- Experience of working with HR Information Systems and Shared Services tools such as Case Management, telephony, electronic document management systems.
