Job Description
Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $51,000-$60,000
Location: Downtown Houston, TX Â
Responsibilities:
- Handle all departmental information in a strictly confidential manner, without exception.
- Perform online timesheet review, audits, data entry, payroll processing, and internal and external report creation and delivery for biweekly payrolls.Â
- With a high degree of accuracy records, edits, and updates employee data in HRIS, to include employee demographic information, employee lifecycle information (e.g., hire and termination dates), compensation information, deductions, and related data items.
- Maintain the integrity of payroll data and processes.Â
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll related questions and concerns from employees and students.
- Assist with processing payroll related vendor payments, garnishments, and other third-party payments, including, 403(b), 401(a), health savings account, flex funding, CHSP, and the like.
- Complete with assistance all aspects of payroll including 941s, SUI, and all tax payments.
- Manage and generate departmental reports.
- Maintain accurate documented procedures for job functions, with a special emphasis on payroll processing duties, and provide suggestions to department management regarding process improvements.
- Comply with all aspects of the school’s Customer Service Standards.Â
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.Â
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and HRIS knowledge required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Â
