Job Description

A premier independent commodity company is looking for an Operations Support Analyst to address any operational issue related to trade/order entry. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who knows commodities derivatives financial instruments. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance operational effectiveness by streamlining processes and upholding the utmost accuracy and quality standards.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the trading software that is used internally for booking trades and orders executed in the commodities exchange.
  • Resolve any operational issue related to trade/order entry which also can involve working with commodities exchange support team.
  • Work in collaboration with Software developers and provide user feedback plus communicate any enhancements requests.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of SQL for ad-hoc reporting.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5-6 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Commodities Derivatives Financial Instruments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effectively interface with both internal and external customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL and BI Reporting Tool is a plus
  • Experience with Project Management and Collaboration Tool and Issue Tracking Software is a plus
