Job Description

A fast-growing industrial service company is seeking an Operations & Accounting Specialist to support executive leadership with accounting, finance, and operational projects. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Working collaboratively, the successful candidate will ensure seamless operations by managing accounting and administrative tasks while streamlining workflows and supporting cross-departmental initiatives.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting Support
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable using internal financial systems.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor records.
  • Generate financial summaries and reports (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, aging reports) for leadership oversight.
  • Contribute to payroll processing and employee reimbursement tracking.
  • Provide support for financial planning, cash flow analysis, and budget-related initiatives.
Operational & Administrative Coordination
  • Serve as a key operational support resource to senior leadership on day-to-day priorities.
  • Draft and update internal procedures related to finance, inventory, payroll, and HR.
  • Assist with human resources functions, including onboarding, compliance tracking, and personnel record maintenance.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration on internal projects across departments.
  • Support vendor engagement, including documentation review and credit evaluation processes.
  • Manage scheduling and communication tasks on behalf of executive leadership.
Systems & Process Management
  • Support integrations and data flow across core business systems and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, suggest workflow improvements, and help ensure data integrity.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years in accounting, operations, or business administration
  • Strong QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP/field service software (FieldServio, NetSuite, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and work directly with executives
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak cycles (month-end, year-end, major projects)
